Luke 11

Luke 11:8

I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man’s boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

Luke 11:11

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?

God wants us to seek Him in all situations and for all things. Scripture tells us that all good things are from the Father. If you have a need ask your loving father for it, and continue to ask, for how much more generous is He than any earthly father?

The Foot

The image of Christ’s foot on the water represents His willingness to come when we call, just as He did in scripture. It is also a reminder to strive for an unwavering faith that we can move in the power He has promised.

God wants you to know that He is near you and wants to do amazing things through you.

Sacred Cow

This wasn’t a prophetic piece, just a fun, free-flowing illustration and color experiment. It got a decent reception in our last Prophetic Art meeting so I thought I’d throw it up. The markers I used were about 10 years old, pretty impressive Prismacolor.

The Full Armor of God

This is a print I designed for a good friend. His daughter is getting baptized soon and he will give this to her afterwards. It uses the image of Joan of Arc to highlight the Full Armor of God.

The Woodcutter’s Axe

The woodcutter’s axe represents the work we are given and the tools God is faithful to provide. It also speaks of preparation and wisdom in cutting wood for the winter.

God will provide the tools necessary for us, we are to use them when He does in order to experience the life He has for us.

The Iceberg

This was my first Prophetic Art piece. It’s an iceberg in the ocean. We often first approach God with a limited expectation of what He can and will do in our lives. Like the tip of an iceberg, we find there is much more under the surface.

God wishes to give to us abundantly, and his plan is always bigger and better than our own.

The Wondrous Treasure

Here is an outstretched hand from Heaven offering a wondrous treasure on the form of a precious gem. God has such treasure for us, if we’d only take hold of it.

God wants you to take hold of the treasure he offers you of His Kingdom. He wants you to partake fully and offers to all who love Him.

The River Stones

This is a roaring river with two massive stones coming up from the its bed. Often, before we decide to submit to God, we wait for Him to remove obstacles in our path, symbolized here by the stones. God wants you to know that nothing can hinder the flow of His love and power in your life. Sometimes the obstacles wont ever go away, but often they make the landscape more interesting.

Place your whole trust in God regardless of the obstacles in your life, don’t wait for healing (that’s His job). Run to Him, and find joy in Him.
